About Fiona Robinson

Balance Coaching and Therapy – Fiona Robinson DHP, HPD, MAfSFH, MNCH

After nursing for 27 years, I qualified in 2010 as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist at the Clifton Practice in Bristol, one of the leading Solution Focused Hypnotherapy training schools in the UK. I gained a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy and a Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma which is externally accredited by the N.C.H. and the N.C.F.E. I am also a member of two professional and ethical bodies: AfSFH and the NCH*, to whom I am accountable. They require that I hold a recognisable qualification, complete on-going training and learning to a minimum yearly requirement and uphold the professional Code of ethics.

I am also a qualified Coach so if you prefer to have a coaching/therapy phone call or online via Zoom, do contact me.

When I qualified in 2004 as a Coach I was about to give birth to my lovely son, followed by my second son 16 months later! So Coaching was put on hold and when I was freer, I found Solution Focused Hypnotherapy training – all of the benefits of a positive talking session plus the wonderful benefits of hypnosis. Hypnosis means that changes are easier when we communicate with the subconscious – or automatic – mind which drives most of our behaviour. I use the coaching model within hypnotherapy but of course it is a stand alone therapy if you wish to talk.

My overall aim is to help clients to live a contented life and to feel in control whatever their current situation. I particularly enjoy working with clients who are experiencing anxiety, stress, lack of confidence or low self-esteem, which can cause problems at work, in our relationships, our home life, or any other area. Coaching/Therapy and Hypnotherapy can result in real change and opportunities which clients may not have ever thought possible.

I currently practice from home using Zoom video or by telephone. Normally I work from a clinic in Frome, Somerset. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring the area with its wonderful countryside and local history with my husband, boys and Monty dog. I am interested in reading; personal development and well-being, biographies and fun reads. I enjoy a healthy lifestyle and cooking and love being with great friends and family.
